Our class has made papiermache lanterns, and painted and decorated them.  We will celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.  We are also learning about the Solar System.  We read Chinese poems about the moon, the sun, stars, planets, and the clouds.

In October,  Mrs. Tom helped us make pins for Halloween.  First, we choose what we wanted to make.  Our choices were a ghost, a cat and a pumpkin.  Then, we glued the picture onto the pins.  Of course, we needed to add the mouths, ears, eyes and noses.  Then we waited for the glue to dry.

Room 31, Room 32 and our classmates' parents came to our class.  They talked about their families.  In our class, Kam's mom came.  Desmond's moms and Isolina's moms came.  They passed out pictures.  We liked them a lot.  ( pictures )  Alexander's dad came too.  He let us play with dradles.  After, he gave us chocolate coins.  He also has a menorah that looks like a tree.  (pictures )

Our class went to the zoo.  We waited there a while.  Two ladies led us see lots of animals.  Then we went to eat our lunch, and went to the park and play.  After, we went to the gift shop to buy things.  Then we went back to our school.

On 12/21, Isolina's moms taught us how to make gingerbread house.  Camille's mom also helped us out.
We ate some candy and cereal while we were building the house.  It was a fun day.  ( pictures )
